
Two Louisville men were arrested after a lengthy high speed pursuit Tuesday (11/22).
The pursuit started on Interstate 65 in Bowing Green and ended near the 93 mile marker in Hardin County after police deployed tire deflation devices and forced the vehicle off the roadway. Once the vehicle stopped, both occupants fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, both male occupants were apprehended without further incident.
The driver, 19 year-old David A. Williamson Jr. of Louisville, was charged with speeding (26 mph over), Fleeing or Evading Police 1st (Motor Vehicle), Fleeing or Evading Police 1st (On Foot), Reckless Driving, Improper Lane Usage, Failure To Wear Seat Belt, Receiving Stolen Property (Under $10,000), Carrying A Concealed Deadly Weapon, Following Another Vehicle Too Closely, Wanton Endangerment 1st, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. He was later lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
The passenger, 24 year-old Lamontrez D. Jackson also of Louisville, was served with outstanding Jefferson County warrants for Murder, Robbery 1st and Persistent Felony Offender. He was also charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st (Police Officer), Wanton Endangerment 1st , Fleeing or Evading Police 1st (Motor Vehicle), Fleeing or Evading Police 1st (On Foot), Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Receiving Stolen Property (Under $10,000), and Tampering with Physical Evidence. He was later lodged at Louisville Metro Corrections.
Both suspects were treated at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown for injuries suffered during the accident and were subsequently released into Kentucky State Police custody.
Officers from Kentucky State Police Post 03 and Post 04, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Region 2, Bowling Green Police Department and Warren County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the pursuit and arrests.
