
The burn ban continues in Meade County despite the amount of rainfall already received and forecasted this week.
The first round of rainfall Monday night only recorded less than a inch precipitation and os not not enough to make a major change ground conditions to prevent a fire hazard from open burning.
Meade County Judge Executive Gerry Lynn imposed the ban prohibiting any outdoor burning of materials in the county in addition to the Fall Forest Fire Hazard Season implemented by the state until December 15.
Anyone who sets a fire durinv the ban could be face a fine.
