

Two people from Vine Grove were arrested after they fled from police traffic stop and was found to have drug items.
Muldraugh Police Chief Dale Harp attempted to make a traffic stop around 5:30 pm Monday (12/19) at Tip Top near the intersection of Highway 31W and US 60. As Chief Harp approached the stopped vehicle, the driver sped off west on US 60 which resulted in a pursuit. The suspect vehicle traveled along US 60 then onto Kentucky 313 in a reckless manor. The suspect car was occupied by a male and female eluded Chief Harp and Vine Grove Police near the intersection of Kentucky 144 and 1882.
After a search of the area, police found the vehicle at a residence at 345 Viers Lane, which is the home of the female occupant. Police was allowed to search the residence and out buildings on the property which resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia. Both of the suspects were found Monday night.
On Tuesday (12/20) morning, police received a tip that the couple was possibly back at the residence. Chief Harp along with Meade County Sheriff Deputy Brian Hagg went to the residence and searched the residence to find the suspect driver, 21 year-old Joshua Rice hiding under a bed, and the female suspect, 19 year-old Alyson Foutch attempting to harbor him.
Rice and Foutch were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a methamphetamine precursor, first degree; possession of a controlled substance, first degree; manufacturing methamphetamine, first degree; possession of marijuana, first degree; possession of drug paraphernalia; and fleeing or evading police, first degree.
Rice is also charged with speeding 26 mph over the speed limit and wanton endangerment of a police officer, first degree. Foutch is additionally charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension, first degree. Both were lodged in the Meade County Detention Center.
