A two vehicle accident in Eastern Meade County sent one person to the hospital Thursday (6/22).
According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened just before 1 pm on Fort Avenue at the intersection with Lee Road. Two vehicles struck almost head-on causing of the vehicles to run off of the road and struck a tree. One person was treated at the scene and then taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown by Meade County EMS.
The Flaherty Fire Department also assisted at the scene. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Meade County Sheriff’s Department.
