Construction work for a major rehabilitation of the US 31W bridge over CSX and P&L Railroads near West Point will begin Monday (5/06).
Northbound and southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Southbound traffic will be shifted to the original northbound side with all motorists traveling on the northbound side of the existing bridge.
Approximately halfway through the project, all traffic will shift to the southbound side with one lane of travel remaining open in each direction at all times.
Motorists should use additional caution when approaching the work zone and pay close attention to signs.
The project is scheduled to be complete by November 1st.
