Saturday (7/24) kicks off the beginning of the 2021 Meade County Fair in it’s traditional eight day schedule as the fair board celebrates it’s 100th anniversary.
Meade County Fair Board Chairman, David Pace said that some plans were hampered with the short notice of the latest regulations and restrictions related to COVID-19 being lifted in June. He said that has caused minor operational issues for the local fair which has won the most progressive fair award over 22 years straight along with being top county fair in the state just behind the Saint James Arts Show in Louisville and the Kentucky State Fair.
Pace said some schedule adjustments have been made but most of the recent popular changes have remained in place. New events this year include Ohio Valley Wrestling on Wednesday night, English and Miniature Horse show and a Special Needs Day to be held on Tuesday.
