
A Bowling Green police officer was injured Thursday around 5:30 p.m. after a shooting at Car-Mart on Russellville Road, according to Ronnie Ward with Bowling Green Police Department.
The officer involved in the incident was identified as Matt Davis, according to a video released by the Bowling Green Police Department on Friday afternoon.
Bowling Green Police Chief Michael Delaney said in the statement that Davis was shot multiple times. He is listed in critical but stable condition.
In a release sent out around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, Kentucky State Police also said that a male subject was pronounced dead at the Medical Center at Bowling Green by the Warren County Coroner.
ATF Louisville’s Bowling Green office and the Barren County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
