Authorities in Meade County are advising businesses to be on the lookout after law enforcement received calls of individuals attempting to pass counterfeit $100 bills.
The bills were attempted to be used at different stores in the county on Monday and Tuesday of this week. The Sheriff’s Department said in a social media post that the bills would pass a marker test and should be examined closely to make sure they are not counterfeit.
Police have arrested two of four people involved in the passing the fake money. Police identified Latrell Doss and Alize Christian of Illinois as being two involved individuals.
If you have received a counterfeit bill please contact your local law enforcement agency.
