
Three people were injured in a crash on the Clark Memorial Bridge on Sunday, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Louisville Metro Police officers responded to the bridge about a crash around 12:30 p.m. to a three-car crash near the middle of the bridge.
Officers contacted Indiana authorities and asked them to shut down their side of the bridge. Louisville police also shut down the Louisville side of the bridge.
The preliminary investigation shows a car was traveling southbound on the bridge when, for an unknown reason, the driver crossed over into the northbound lanes and hit another car.
The other car was going northbound and rolled the car causing another car to be involved in the collision, according to Louisville Metro Police Department.
Officers on the scene rendered First Aid until Louisville Fire and Rescue arrived along with emergency services.
EMS took over medical care and took two adults, one from each vehicle, to University Hospital with injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
The third driver was not taken to the hospital but checked out by EMS on scene.
No charges are expected.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by LMPD First Division.
The bridge has reopened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
