Three people from Tennessee were arrested after a suspicious encounter led to a drug and firearm investigation in Oak Grove.
On June 11, at the Circle K on Segler Drive, Christian County Sheriff’s deputies observed suspicious behavior from 47-year-old William Howse of Nashville, Tennessee, who attempted to flee and was found to have discarded a firearm.
Howse, a convicted felon, had various drugs, including marijuana, crack cocaine, THC, ecstasy (MDMA), and psilocybin mushrooms. A large quantity of drugs and cash were also recovered from a backpack linked to him.
The driver of the vehicle, 48-year-old Edward Brauns, also of Nashville, was arrested after discarding suspected fentanyl and cocaine on the scene. A third individual, 38-year-old Charity Seymour of Clarksville, Tennessee, was also arrested.
William Howse is charged with:
Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree (≥10 D.U. – MDMA) – Enhanced
Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Drug Unspecified) Enhanced (x2)
Possession of Cocaine – Enhanced
Trafficking Marijuana (<8 oz) – Enhanced
Possession of Open Alcohol Container in Vehicle
Fleeing or Evading Police 3rd Degree
Tampering with Physical Evidence
Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon
Edward Brauns is charged with:
Possession of Open Alcohol Container in Vehicle
Tampering with Physical Evidence
Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (Drug Unspecified)
Trafficking in Fentanyl
Trafficking Cocaine (≥4g)
Charity Seymour is charged with:
Possession of Marijuana
All three were transported to the Christian County Jail.
