Charges have been dismissed against a Louisville man who police said was found naked in a Florence teen’s bedroom earlier this year.
According to a news release, a Boone County grand jury returned a ruling of “no true bill” against 20-year-old Parker Kramer. It means the jury found there wasn’t enough evidence to pursue those charges against him.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office said Kramer was originally charged with two counts of rape and one count each of sodomy and burglary.
According to an arrest citation, deputies responded to a Florence home after a man said he found a suspect in his 13-year-old daughter’s bedroom just after midnight on April 28.
The man said he checked on his daughter after seeing the front door was unlocked and hearing a noise coming from her room.
That is when he found Kramer naked on the floor by the teen’s bed according to the citation.
The citation said the father told Kramer he was calling the police and went downstairs to get a handgun. Authorities said the suspect was able to push past the father and run outside the house.
Police said the father ran after him, firing three shots at the ground near the front porch.
Deputies found Kramer’s vehicle parked on a nearby street. The father identified Kramer after being shown a driver’s license photo attached to the vehicle’s registration.
The citation says a pair of sweatpants were also found in the teen’s room with a set of car keys that opened Kramer’s vehicle.
The Florence Police Department assisted the sheriff’s office in searching for Kramer, which included using a drone. He was eventually found and arrested near Mt. Zion Road and I-75.
The young girl told investigators she believed Kramer was 15 years old and went to a nearby high school.
According to court documents, Kramer told Boone County investigators he drove up from Louisville to meet the teen and admitted to sexually abusing her.
