The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio County Judge-Executive’s office recently received suspicious letters that caused headaches to staff members.
Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright said the FBI has been contacted to investigate. After Wright’s secretary opened the letter, which was stamped with an upside-down U.S. flag, she became dizzy for a short time. The staff member that opened the letter sent to Judge-Executive David Johnston’s office also had a headache for about 15 minutes.
In addition to an upside-down U.S. flag stamp, there was a marking on each letter that said, “love.”
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office also received a similar letter. All the letters are being sent to a laboratory for testing.
