
An inmate booked into the Ohio County Detention Center has had additional charges filed after deputies say he attempted to escape.
According to the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, inmate Isaiah Myles slipped out of his ankle restraint and fled from custody around 2:30 pm on Thursday. Deputies say he was being transported from to the Ohio County Detention Center from the Ohio County Circuit Court when he fled from custody.
As a precaution, deputies say Wayland Elementary School and Pre-Schools in the area were immediately put on lockdown as they searched for Myles. Deputies say Myles was located by a Hartford Police officer on Walnut Street in Hartford a very short time later and was taken into custody.
Myles has been charged with 2nd degree escape, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
