
A 42-year-old man was arrested Thursday after allegedly cutting a Louisville Metro Police officer at the downtown Norton Hospital emergency room.
According to police, Maurice Hopkins arrived and appeared to be intoxicated but refused to leave.
Police said Hopkins threatened others in the emergency room with scissors before dropping them.
A Louisville Metro Police officer suffered a 6-inch cut to the arm while officers were trying to take Hopkins into custody, according to police.
Hopkins appeared in court Friday on multiple charges, including wanton endangerment, resisting arrest and wanton endangerment of a police officer.
