Saturday evening, the Allen County–Scottsville Crime Task Force announced the arrest of John Paul Burton on charges of second-degree forgery and theft by deception.
The arrest came after an investigation by the task force involving an alleged fraudulent bond scheme.
On Sunday, the task force added charges of first-degree stalking, intimidating a participant in the legal process, and harassing communications for a separate legal case. The details of that investigation have not been released.
The task force thanked the Allen County Sheriff’s Office for its help in locating and apprehending Burton. They also thanked the public for assistance in providing information regarding the investigations.
