An Owensboro man was arrested Wednesday (09/16) as a rape case investigation continues by the Kentucky State Police.
During an ongoing investigation by Kentucky State Police Post 16 Detective Mason Hendricks, 62 year-old Steven Wright, of Owensboro, was charged with one count of Sex Abuse 1st Degree Victim under 12 Years of Age. He was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
Previously, Wesley Wright was arrested on Rape 1st Degree Victim under 12 Years of Age regarding this same investigation on August 5, 2026. Detective Hendricks is continuing his investigation at this time.
Kentucky State Police is committed to ensuring that crimes against children are thoroughly investigated and pursued.
