A pickup truck collided with the rear of a horse-drawn buggy on Bowling Green Road near Merritt Road in Logan County on Wednesday evening.
The buggy, operated by John Mast, was merging into the right-hand travel lane from the emergency to pass a person walking in the emergency lane, according to the Logan County Sheriff.
The pickup truck, which was travelling east and being driven by Christopher Costello, collided with the back of the buggy.
Mast was transported to the Medical Center of Bowling Green for treatment of his injuries.
