Jeffersontown police arrested a man on charges of menacing and having an unlawful transaction with a minor.
David D. Thompson, 18, of Louisville, was taken into custody at 12:30 a.m. October 25.
According to his is arrest report, Thompson was walking in the 9600 block of Taylorsville Road with a juvenile and the juvenile was discharging a firearm. Police said the juvenile was also in possession of marijuana.
During a patdown search of the juvenile, Thompson lunged at the officers with a balled up fist and had to be physically restrained.
Thompson was arraigned Monday morning and will be back in court on November 5.
