Target will close its store at 9070 Dixie Highway at the end of January 2016, according to a company spokeswoman.
Target spokeswoman Kristy Welker said employees at the store were notified on Wednesday that the store would close on January 30.
Welker said the decision to close a Target store is made after careful consideration of the long-term financial performance of a particular location. Typically, a store is closed as a result of seeing several years of decreasing profitability.
Welker said eligible employees were being offered the option to transfer to other Target stores in the area.
