The Jeffersonville, Indiana Fire Department’s Confined Space Rescue Team responded to a call of a fallen worker at 2:04 p.m. at the bridge construction area, according to Jeffersonville Fire Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Justin Ames.
The worker, who was on a ladder to secure a support structure, fell between 10 to 15 feet off a ladder and into a hole, where one of the support pillars for the bridge would be, according to Ames.
