Emergency crews responded to a fatal crash Monday afternoon at the northbound 85 mile-marker on Interstate 65 near Glendale.
The driver of a semi, which rolled over in the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office.
The semi and a passenger vehicle collided near the Glendale exit, according to officials.
One person in the passenger vehicle was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Hardin County EMS.
The state Transportation Cabinet issued a traffic advisory for the area and rerouted traffic onto 31W. Backups and delays were still occurring seven hours after the 1:40 p.m. crash. The delays impacted traffic on U.S. 31W as well because of detours from the interstate.
