A Meade County judge set a bond for two Meade County men after their murder convictions were tossed out in July.
Meade County Circuit Judge Bruce Butler set bond at $50,000 each for Keith Hardin and Jeff Clark, who bonded out of jail by paying just ten percent or $5,000 of their bond as they await a new trial in the case. Hardin and Clark were convicted of murdering Hardin’s girlfriend Rhonda Sue Warford in 1995.
The men’s convictions were tossed out of court after DNA evidence didn’t match the suspects and the credibility of a detective’s statements were also questioned. Judge Butler said the two deserve a new trial. Prosecutors in 1995 said the suspects were involved in satanic worship and killed Warford as part of a ritual.
