
Emergency crews responded to a two vehicle accident in McQuady Thursday (9/15) morning.
According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 7:40 a.m. at the intersection of Highways 105 and 261, when a 2001 Freightliner box truck driven by 53 year-old Larry Ray of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee was traveling south on Highway 105 and failed to stop at the intersection at the stop sign. He pulled into the path of a 2013 service van driven by 28 year-old Nathan Taylor of Beaver Dam, who was traveling East on Highway 261.
Taylor was extricated from the van by the Hardinsburg Fire Department and taken to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital by Breck Central EMS for minor injuries. Ray was not injured.
Crews worked about an hour and half to clean up the accident scene.
