
A Cecilia woman wanted for failing to appear for a scheduled March drug court date was struck by an SUV Thursday night and injured.
Kayla S. Reynolds, 20, was transported from Blackjack Road in Radcliff to University Hospital in Louisville with unknown injuries by Hardin County EMS.
Radcliff Police Capt. Willie Wells said officers were called to Blackjack Road around 8:40 p.m. in regards to two intoxicated people walking in the roadway. When officers arrived, they learned a bench warrant had been issued for Reynolds and she fled. She then was struck by a white SUV, which left the area.
Reynolds was wanted for first-degree, first offense possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; first offense trafficking in a controlled substance, drug unspecified and failure to appear.
She was scheduled to appear March 3 in Hardin County Drug Court and never showed, according to the bench warrant.
Wells said Reynolds could face a felony fleeing and evading charge from Thursday night. The man with her was not charged.
The driver of the SUV also is expected to face a felony charge when located for leaving scene of accident, failure to render aid or assistance.
