A brother and sister have been indicted on multiple robbery charges by a Hardin County grand jury.
Connie Norman, 47, of Elizabethtown, and Steven Norman, 36, of Magnolia, each were indicted Thursday on five felony charges of complicity to commit second-degree robbery as well as being persistent felony offenders.
The pair was arrested December 29 at a Laurel County motel and charged in two December robberies at Save-Rite, a Radcliff pharmacy, where they are accused of stealing than 1,500 pills. The five robbery charges stem from the number of employees in the store at the time of the alleged crimes, according to the indictment.
Radcliff Police Chief Jeff Cross said last month a person walked into the pharmacy December 28, but did not display a weapon, according to Save-Rite employees. The person made a threat toward staff and demanded drugs from the pharmacy. In the earlier robbery, December 21, Cross said two people walked into the store and also demanded pills, and then fled.
Both suspects had outstanding warrants when they were arrested by London Police Department officers at an EconoLodge in London. A search warrant was executed on their vehicle and room where police found 769 pills in a white sock under the hood of the vehicle and about 778 pills in a plastic bag under a mattress in the room they were staying in.
The Normans remain in Laurel County Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 cash bonds.
