A Bowling Green woman is arrested after police say she attacked her boyfriend with a machete.
Bowling Green Police responded to W 14th Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. Monday after receiving reports of an attack with a weapon. Donald Roddy told police his girlfriend, Mary Etheridge, attacked him with a “machete,” after an argument stemming from her defense of a “sexual offender.”
Roddy told police Etheridge first attacked him with the non-sharp end of the weapon, but then began using the sharp end in a “chopping style” manner. Etheridge fled the scene when Roddy was able to get away. Police say Roddy has several cuts on his face and the side and back areas of his body.
Etheridge was arrested and charged with Assault, 2nd Degree – Domestic Violence, Criminal Mischief – 3rd Degree, and Disorderly Conduct – 2nd Degree.
