Police who were searching for a missing man in southeastern Kentucky have instead found the body of a different missing person.
Kentucky State Police said in a news release authorities found the body of 51-year-old David Farmer of Pineville Monday afternoon along the Cumberland River outside of Barbourville.
Farmer went missing on November 20 in Pineville. He was last seen at the Pineville Community Hospital.
Trooper Shane Jacobs says authorities had been looking for 23-year-old Douglas Middleton of Artemus, when they discovered Farmer’s body. Middleton went missing on February 15.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine Farmer’s cause of death.
