A Federal Fugitive was apprehended in Hopkins County Monday after trying to evade law enforcement.
The United States Marshals Office requested the assistance of local law enforcement in the apprehension of Jonathan Wilson, who was living in Hopkins County.
Members of the Madisonville/Hopkins County Vice/Narcotics Unit found Wilson in the Grapevine area in a red Dodge pickup truck and a vehicular pursuit began. Wilson fled to Hubert Reid Drive, then traveled through Earlington, Mortons Gap, and Nortonville at a high rate of speed.
When Wilson reached Nortonville, he and a passenger, Lindsey Daniels, got out of the truck and fled on foot, while Virginia Payne fled in the truck in a suspected attempt to lead law enforcement away from Wilson and Daniels. Payne eventually wrecked on Hermitage Road.
