
Preparation work for a project to resurface a portion of KY 313 between I-65 and US 31W in Hardin County is taking place this week and several closures related to the interchange with I-65 are planned through July.
Work will be performed at night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. to minimize impacts to traffic. The project begins at I-65 and extends two miles.
Base failure repairs are taking place this week with resurfacing scheduled to begin Monday night, July 10th.
The following interchange ramp closures should be expected:
July 11th: I-65 South Exit 102 to KY 313 for milling operations
July 12th: I-65 South Exit 102 to KY 313 for surfacing operations
July 12th: KY 313 to I-65 South for milling operations
July 13th: KY 313 to I-65 South for surfacing operations
July 13th: I-65 North Exit 102 to KY 313 for milling operations
July 14th: I-65 North Exit 102 to KY 313 for surfacing operations
July 14th: KY 313 to I-65 North for milling operations
July 16th: KY 313 to I-65 North for surfacing operations
Work schedules are weather dependent. Motorists affected by ramp closures on the schedule should make plans for alternate routes. Watch for work zone signs and rough milled pavement as the project progresses.
