Members of Meade County Fiscal Court met during a work session Monday (3/4) to hear citizens concerns and proposals from three companies who are possible bidders for the upcoming trash collection contract with the county.
Representatives from Platform Waste, Green River Waste, and Republic Services heard several concerns from a couple of citizens who spoke and then from county officials. The companies services were generally explained along with their history and approach to customer service. The work session was held to allow magistrates to get a better understanding on what they want to include and address in the advertisement of bids for the upcoming contract.
County leaders are expected to discuss the trash collection contract during their regular meeting next week. You can watch a full video of the work session by visiting our “On Demand” section or the county’s website.
