A man is seriously injured after being hit by a car in West Point Monday evening.
Hardin County Sheriff John Ward said a pickup truck with a trailer carrying lumber was traveling down US 31 when some of the lumber started coming loose. The driver pulled over and was securing the lumber when another car crashed into him and the trailer.
The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but Ward said he is expected to survive.
