Police have arrested a man on several charges after they say he committed a string of crimes in Warren County.
On Monday, December 16, the Bowling Green Police Department responded to Walmart on Morgantown Road after asset protection notified officers of a subject believed to be 30 year-old Ramo Mujic, of Bowling Green, according to an arrest citation.
Police say Mujic was wanted on multiple felony warrants and was a suspect in several recent cases, including burglary, automobile theft and mail theft, which were jointly investigated by the Bowling Green Police Department and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
After confirming his identity at the store, officers advised Mujic that he was being detained. Per the citation, Mujic resisted and a brief struggle ensued that left both officers with cuts.
Police say after Mujic was controlled and taken into custody, he allegedly gave officers a false name and date of birth in an attempt to avoid detection due to having warrants and an unserved EPO.
As a result of the arrest, he was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and was charged with Theft over $10,000 (automobile); Theft over $10,000 (tools); Third-degree burglary; Theft of mail; Tampering with physical evidence; First-degree criminal mischief; Possession of methamphetamine; Giving an officer a false name and Resisting arrest.
The case remains under investigation.
