A man is in custody after an armed robbery in West Point led to his arrest across the Ohio River.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at around 8:37 a.m. of an armed robbery in the 23400 block of Dixie Highway in West Point on Friday, May 15.
Initial investigation suggested that an armed man robbed a store and fled the scene with money and merchandise. Witnesses told police they believed the suspect drove off in a black Nissan sedan.
As a result of investigations by detectives, police were able to identify, locate and arrest a suspect in Clark County, who is being charged with 1st degree robbery.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
