A Louisville man accused of murdering his girlfriend and her teenage daughter in June is now facing a slew of additional felony charges, including the rape and sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old.
Tobias Malone, 28, was indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury on July 30.
Malone is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges on Monday, August 3, at 10:30 a.m.
The original homicide charges stem for an incident on June 2 when Louisville police found 29-year-old Vienna Peoples and her 13-year-old daughter, Labria Miller, dead inside a home in the Portland neighborhood.
Malone was arrested and initially charged with their deaths. He was People’s boyfriend.
The grand jury indictment has charged him with two counts of murder – domestic violence and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
New sexual abuse charges come after a grand jury hearing when Malone was indicted on the original charges, as well as multiple sex crime charges involving juvenile victims.
The new indictment includes:
One count of First-Degree Rape (victim under 12 years of age)
One count of First-Degree Sexual Abuse (victim under 12 years of age)
One count of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Minor (under 16 years of age)
20 counts of Possession of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor (under 12 years of age)
Malone remains in the custody of the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
