
Four men have been arrested after the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force and the Kentucky State Police Interdiction Team busted an illegal marijuana vape operation.
Javon Mitchell, Dayshawn Mitchell, Savyon Howard and George Murray were all arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, over five pounds which is a class C Felony with a gun enhancement and they were also charged with engaging in organized crime, according to a media release from officials.
In total, detectives seized 2,146 illegally manufactured marijuana vape products, more than two gallons of liquid marijuana extract, 48 oxycodone tablets, two handguns, one shotgun, $3,489 and a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
After an eight-week investigation, detectives had probable cause to get a search warrant for a home located in the 1400 block of Calgary Way in Northern County, according to officials.
When detectives arrived on the scene, the people in the home refused to open the door and officers made a forcible entry into the house. During the search, detectives found a clandestine marijuana vape manufacturing operation being ran out of the garage of the house.
According to officials, the products were being manufactured in unsanitary, non-sterile conditions not suitable for the production of a consumer product.
This is the first ever illegal marijuana vape operation found in Bowling Green according to the task force.
The investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are possible.
