A Bowling Green man was sentenced to 13 years in prison. The Warren Commonwealth’s Attorney says 27 year-old Christopher Kirby was sentenced in Warren Circuit Court Monday after entering an Alford Plea in July. Kirby was convicted of abusing his girlfriend’s three year-old son last November. The boy was first taken to the Medical Center, then flown to Vanderbilt.
An Alford Plea means even though Kirby does not admit any guilt he agrees there is enough evidence against him for a jury to convict him.
The boy’s mother, 24 year-old Cori Tobitt, also faces charges in this case. Source: WBKO
