
Traffic investigators with the Louisville Metro Police Department have released the description of a vehicle which is believed to have been involved in last week’s fatal hit-and-run in Fern Creek.
Authorities are looking for a BMW, model year 2005-2010, with possible damage to the center and/or driver’s side of the front grill, in addition to the windshield.
A vehicle fitting that description is believed to have been in involved in the death of Donald Benningfield, who was struck and killed in the 5300 block of Bardstown Road at 10:52 p.m. October 9. The vehicle fled the scene after striking Benningfield.
