A LaRue County man is facing charges after police responding to a reported home invasion found him outside the house.
On the afternoon of October 16, Louisville Metro police were called to a home in the 1900 block of Elmore Avenue and discovered a man bound with duct tape.Officers found 19 year-old Nicholas Gerwitz of Hodgenville in the front yard of the home where the victim was located.
A second person was also arrested after a short foot chase. Metro police said Gerwitz confessed to his involvement in the crime and told police the other man arrested was also involved.
Gerwitz is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a burglary charge. His bond is set at $25,000 cash.
The second suspect’s name was not immediately available.
