The victims of a double fatality crash Sunday evening on Lincoln Parkway in Hardin County have been identified.
According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, a 1998 Mazda, driven by Charles W. Calhoun of Greensburg, was traveling east on Lincoln Parkway when it rear-ended a tractor-trailer making a right turn onto Harvest Drive.
A backseat passenger, 52 year-old Robert P. Whitsell from Louisville, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office. A front-seat passenger, 30 year-old Tina L. Loibl of Greensburg, died a short time later as a result of her injuries.
Calhoun suffered minor injuries and the semi driver was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation, but not charges are anticipated at this time.
