A woman was killed and three others were injured when a pickup crossed the center lane and crashed into a minivan on Dixie Highway, according to Louisville Metro police.
The crash was reported in the 13000 block of Dixie Highway, near Pendleton Road, around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell said a preliminary investigation showed a Chevy Silverado was traveling southbound on Dixie Highway when the driver crossed into the northbound lanes and hit a Toyota Sienna minivan.
The woman who was driving the minivan was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 15-year-old girl who was in the minivan was taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital for treatment.
The driver and a passenger who were in the pickup truck were taken to University of Louisville Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
