
A man wanted in an attempted murder in Pennsylvania was captured Sunday along Interstate 65 in Barren County.
Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green received a request on Sunday to attempt to locate 22 year-old Courtland Michalides of Windber, Pennsylvania. Michalides was wanted for shooting a female victim in Windber, and he was considered armed and dangerous.
The Windber Borough Police Department had information that Michalides might have been in the Elizabethtown, Kentucky area on I-65 heading south in a 2002 Chrysler minivan.
Troopers located Michalides and conducted a traffic stop at the 49 mile marker on southbound I-65 in Barren County.
Michalides was arrested about 6:27 p.m. on Sunday. He faces a fugitive from another state charge in reference to the original charge in Pennsylvania of criminal attempt to commit homicide involving a gun. He was taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
