
Two people received injuries after weekend accidents in Meade County.
The first accident happened just after Midnight Sunday (6/26) morning along in the 4500 block of Kentucky 933.
A 1989 Chevrolet pickup driven by 19 year-old Elijah Fackler of Webster was traveling south when a deer ran in front of the pickup truck, causing Fackler to hit the deer.
A passenger in the truck, 15 year-old passenger was taken to Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana by Meade County EMS. Fackler was not injured. The Meade County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Meade County Fire Department.
A second accident happened on Kentucky 1638 at the intersection of Camp Ski Hi Road near Muldraugh. A vehicle attempted to do a traffic maneuver and resulted in the vehicle to strike the guardrail and overturn several times before coming to rest. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries.
The driver was airlifted from the scene to University of Louisville Hospital by Air Methods Air Ambulance. The Muldraugh Police was assisted by the Meade County Sheriff’s Department and the Muldraugh Fire Department.
