A death investigation is underway in Christian County.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Department was called to a residence at 11248 Dawson Springs Road, around 10:00 a.m. Saturday, after a neighbor discovered a body.
Christian County Coroner, Zach Lamb, estimates the time of death to be sometime in the last few weeks. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Sunday in Louisville.
The body appears to have a wound to the back of the head, however it is uncertain what caused the wound.
The Sheriff’s Office is treating this as a homicide, and the identity of the victim is being withheld until positive identification can be made and next of kin can be notified.
