A once embattled Confederate monument is coming to place in it’s new home in Brandenburg.
Crews have spent the past week leveling and setting pieces of the monument’s base on the foundation. On Friday (12/9) crews made swift progress placing the stone pieces into place on the bank over looking the Ohio River.
Crews expect the final pieces to be put in place on Monday. Local officials expect a formal dedication ceremony to held in the spring.
