
A woman suffered a head injury Friday morning during a violent purse snatching outside the Elizabethtown Target.
Police are searching for the man ran up behind the woman in her 60’s, hit her in the back of the head, knocked her unconscious, and took off with her purse. The suspect was lurking around the outside entrance to Target at 1631 Ring Road about 9 am Friday (3/17). Police said the man ran toward Gloria Dei Church, located behind the store, after the attack when he stole the victim’s purse. The victim went to Hardin Memorial Hospital, and had to get staples in her head.
Police described the suspect as a tall, skinny white male with a “heavily weathered and unkempt” face. He was wearing a dark-colored hoodie when he approached the victim.
