
A body was found inside a burning vehicle in a Louisville park early Saturday morning.
Around midnight, Louisville Metro Police was called to a car fire in the 4100 block of Mud Lane inside Blue Lick Park.
After Okolona firefighters extinguished the flames, a body of a black male was found in the backseat.
The victim has been identified as 51 year-old Cleveland Curtis Pope.
His official cause of death is a gunshot wound, and burns to 95% of total body surface.
Pope’s death has been ruled a homicide.
