A Hardinsburg woman was injured after being struck on a bicycle over the weekend.
According to Hardinsburg Police, the accident happened around Midnight Saturday night in the 300 block of East Third Street in Hardinsburg. Stephanie VanMeter, 23 of Hardinsburg, was riding her bicycle when she was struck by a 2000 Toyota driven by 51 year-old Alice Severs of Union Star.
VanMeter was treated at the scene by Breck Central EMS and was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital by Air Evac Life Team with serious injuries. Severs was taken to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital to be evaluated.
The Hardinsburg Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Breckinridge County Sheriff Department and the Hardinsburg Fire Department.
