The online directory of Meade County Chamber of Commerce is temporarily disabled due to scammer activity.
The Chamber has received multiple calls from members about a company that is using their information to try to get them to purchase items.
Meade County Chamber of Commerce is not selling any items or under contract with any company to produce any items for sale.
The Chamber ask everyone to forward all solicitation emails to director@meadekychamber.org or contact information so they can pursue any actions that is needed to guarantee the security of their members.
They believe the scammers are getting contact information from their online directory and disabling it will eliminate that access.
The Chamber is a 501c6 not-for-profit membership organization and does not sell goods for revenue and all non-dues revenues will be generated through events.
They will have a new directory available online when they launch their new website with additional security.
