Louisville Metro Police responded to the Motel 6 on Airport Hotels Boulevard around 9 p.m. Friday following reports of a shooting.
Officers arrived on the scene and searched one of the rooms, finding 23 year-old Maliyah Daniel of Jeffersonville, Indiana shot.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jefferson County Coroner confirmed she died from a gunshot wound.
Police said no suspects are in custody and asked if anyone knows anything to call their anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or use their online tip portal.
