As work to reconstruct the Exit 86 Interchange at Glendale on Interstate 65 continues, crews will be positioning barrier wall and setting bridge beams for the new overpass.
Beginning Sunday night, northbound I-65 traffic will be diverted onto the exit ramp and across KY 222 to the interstate entrance ramp to continue north. The diversion will be in place from 10pm each night until 5am the next morning, Sunday night through Friday morning.
KY 222 will not be closed, but motorists on the route may experience delays as interstate traffic crosses at these ramps. Construction supervisors will observe traffic upon implementation and may make additional changes to facilitate better flow.
Northbound motorists on I-65 should be prepared to slow down upon approaching the Exit 86 vicinity. Pay close attention to signs and minimize distractions.
